Hut Experience is a 2–3 day MTB adventure designed for riders who want to fully immerse themselves in the alpine wilderness—far from the daily routine, close to the pure essence of the mountains.
We set off from Livigno, riding panoramic trails through spectacular landscapes towards Alpe del Gallo and the stunning Laghi di Cancano. The route continues towards Passo Viola, blending rewarding climbs with thrilling descents and unforgettable views.
The adventure crosses into Switzerland, reaching the charming village of Poschiavo, before returning via the majestic Bernina Pass—closing a loop that stands out for its variety and beauty.
But the true heart of the experience comes at sunset. Overnight stays in mountain huts (1 or 2 nights) turn the journey into something special: as the sun dips behind the peaks and silence takes over, the mountains reveal their most authentic side. Far from everything, surrounded by stillness, you’ll experience a unique atmosphere of peace, nature, and star-filled skies.

2 NIGHTS IN A MOUNTAIN HUT WITH DINNER AND BREAKFAST
We start strong: iconic singletracks above Livigno—flow, rhythm, and endless views. In the afternoon, the challenge: a demanding climb up to the stunning Laghi di Cancano. Arrival at Rifugio Fraele, suspended between sky and water, with a view that rewards every pedal stroke.
Heading to Passo del Gallo—then straight into the wild magic of Val Mora: pure freedom. A stop at a traditional mountain hut, then back on the trail towards the remote Val Vezzola. One final push uphill leads to Rifugio Viola—where the mountains turn into silence and pure spectacle.
No hesitation—back on the pedals: climb to Passo Viola and cross into Switzerland. Then it’s time to drop in: an epic descent of over 1,400 meters—technical sections and endless flow between Lago Violaand Lago Saoseo.
More adrenaline on the “Angeli Custodi” trail down to Poschiavo. From here, we hop on the iconic Bernina Express—not just a transfer, but a journey through glaciers and unforgettable views. Final ride back to Livigno… and a well-earned post-ride beer.
