Description

Wonderful all-mountain tour. Departure from the Eira Pass, or alternatively from the top of Mottolino descending from the first part of the bike park. After a short descent on a single-track gravel road, we climb up the Val Pila which takes us to the Trela Pass. From here we cross the Val Lunga descending a trail with some particularly technical sections and loose ground.

We go back up a couple of steep switchbacks on a gravel road to arrive at the “Malga” Trela (a farmhouse). You can have lunch here and we particularly recommend the delicious Taròz! Re-charged and back in the saddle we head towards the mouth of the Trela pass on a well-surfaced trail. Once at the pass a short, speedy, flow-style descent will take us to Val Vezzola, offering us a wonderful view over the entire Valdidentro and Bormio. We then go back up the valley towards Lake Nero, first on a gravel road then on a mountain trail. The first part of the trail is easy to pedal, while on the last part we are forced to carry our bikes for about half an hour.

It will all be worth it though as all this hard work will be rewarded by a splendid view which you can enjoy on reaching the lake. Just above the lake, a really amazing descent with some particularly technical sections and a bit “trial style” will take us to the Foscagno Pass. From here we head towards Trepalle on a really fast trail where we can gain some incredible speed! Our return through Val Tort takes us from Trepalle to the Lake of Livigno.
